A few weeks prior to the Runway To Hope Spring Fashion Soiree, our girl models and their mothers enjoyed a day of shopping, pampering and indulgence at Runway To Hope’s Beauty Bash at Neiman Marcus, The Mall at Millenia. From the moment they walked through the doors, this Barbie inspired day was filled with characters and activities for everyone to enjoy. With Barbie’s, Princesses, Face Painting, Eye Lashes, Make Up and more, the day was nothing short of a fabulous shopping and pampering experience.
Each girl and her family were paired up with one of Runway To Hope’s committee members or volunteers giving them a buddy to take them through the day’s activities. Once the girls got their lashes, hair, make-up or face painting done, they could head upstairs with their “buddy” for their chance to shop around Neiman Marcus to choose the perfect outfit for their fashion debut.
After choosing their outfits, the girls enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by LeMay’s Pizza, drinks, cake-pops and so much more. Sassafras Sweet Shoppe provided an amazing candy bar where each one of the girls had the chance to fill up and take home a bag full of candy and treats.

Neiman Marcus not only allowed Runway To Hope to take over their store for the day, they also generously donated the outfits each of our girl models chose for their walk down the runway.
In addition to all of these exciting activities, Beauty Bash provided the opportunity for our models, families, committee members and volunteers to see and hear firsthand how pediatric cancer has impacted each one of their lives. It allowed our members and volunteers to reconnect with a child and family they met last year, or to make a new friend building a new bond and a stronger support system that will continue well after the event.
Beauty Bash gives everyone involved the chance to understand and witness the reality of what these children and their families deal with as well as giving the children and families a much needed and well deserved day off from hospitals, doctors, treatment, medicine and the other challenges they endure every day. This day creates a moment for these children where cancer doesn’t take center stage in their lives.
